Nancy Arbuthnot

Nancy Arbuthnot is a poet and watercolor artist in Chevy Chase, DC, formerly of in the Takoma, DC neighborhood where she raised her children and still attends monthly meetings of her treasured Takoma Park book group. She has been an artist in residence in national parks (including Catoctin Mountain Park north of Frederick), where she has studied and celebrated in watercolor the local flora and fauna, and presented "nature haiku" workshops for park visitors. Her current favorite art practice combines her original poetic musings and watercolor, ink, and magazine images collaged onto cradled wood boards.
