Leda Pelton

I am currently attending the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) as a first-year undergraduate student. In high school, I attended the Visual Arts Center (VAC) in Albert Einstein High School for four years. I am from Takoma Park originally and I feel a deep connection to the place I'm from. The people and the nature of my city inspire much of my art, and as much as I love it in university, I will always feel a deep connection to my home.

I have a special interest in textiles, but I also enjoy working with a variety of other materials, including paint, charcoal, and chalk pastel. I am currently in the first year Experimental and Foundations Study program at RISD, so I have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of ways to make art, all of which are very exciting.
