Lisa Barry Art

Lisa Barry is a live events graphic designer and project manager by trade, and a lifelong painter. Her passion for the natural world led her to complete an M.A. in Expressive Ecopsychology in 2012, studying the human-nature relationship and creative expression as a means for connecting to place.

In 2022, Lisa created Lisa Barry Art and launched her first collection of paintings as a professional fine artist. Her art is inspired by quiet inquiries into natural places—what we observe in them, our interactions with their animate and inanimate inhabitants, and how we, ourselves, emerge within them. Her paintings are representative, semi-abstract, and atmospheric, as her experience in each place informs.

Lisa lives nearby in Silver Spring and has volunteered with Takoma ARTery during the Takoma Park Art Festival and displayed her art in the Takoma ARTery Window Display.
