RocketBear Project

A long time employee of USAID, I was deeply saddened by the Trump administration's dismantling of the agency and gutting of the federal workforce. In my grief, I began drawing dogs; their sweet faces and obliviousness to the destruction of our democracy brought me a sense of peace. First I drew my dog, then I drew my colleagues’ pets, and I soon had a collection of cats and dogs representing the inspiring USAID workforce. This project is my way of honoring my colleagues by sharing the diversity and impact of all that USAID did around the world.

I love every dog that I have ever met and will happily draw anyone’s pet whether they worked for USAID or not.
