About the Artist
Working in glass, there is always an element of surprise when you open the kiln. Even if a piece doesn’t turn out the way I planned, I am fascinated by how the colors blend or react with each other and how the glass melts, slumps or drops at different temperatures. My glass pieces are often inspired by nature, stories or songs I hear on the radio or experiences from my life. Other abstract compositions are designed around one or more previously-made components.
I live in Silver Spring, MD just north of Takoma Park. I participated in the Takoma Artery Artfest in 2021.
